We modify and repair truck and trailer bodies in steel and aluminum, which for most fleets is the difference between a unit going back to work and a unit going to auction.
A service body that is rusted through at the compartment floors, a dump body that has cracked at a stress point, a trailer frame that has been hit, a deck that needs to carry something it was never built for. Replacing the whole unit is the simple answer and it is very rarely the cheapest one.
This is a large share of what actually comes through the shop. Bodies get cut back to sound metal and rebuilt, skirts and decks get fabricated, frames get repaired, and mounts and racks get made for equipment the truck did not leave the factory carrying.
We work in steel and aluminum, and we do the surface preparation in house ahead of coating, so a rebuilt body does not go back into service with new metal sitting on old rust.
Because we are open 24 hours, a truck that comes off the road on a Friday night does not have to sit until Monday before anyone can even look at it.
For vehicle work, photographs do most of the quoting. Send the unit, the area that has failed or needs modifying, and a wide shot that shows the whole body, and tell us whether the truck can be left with us or has to keep working between visits.
We will tell you plainly when a body is past rebuilding. There is a point where the sound metal left is not enough to build back onto, and pretending otherwise just spends your money before you buy the replacement you were always going to need.
