Columbus is our biggest market. Food trucks from the Short North to Franklinton, handrails on commercial buildings, and work trucks that need a bumper built rather than bought all come down US 23 to our shop in Piketon, and the finished work goes back up the same road.
Columbus has more food trucks than any city we serve, and a food truck awning is the job we build most. The Columbus Food Truck Festival, the lunch lots downtown and the breweries out toward Easton all run trucks that need a fold-down awning that clears the serving window and lies flat for the drive. Most owners bring the truck to Piketon once, an hour and a quarter south on US 23, and drive home with it fitted.
The second line of Columbus work is aluminum handrails. Entrances, ramps and stair runs on commercial buildings, measured on site in Columbus, fabricated in the shop and installed by us. Aluminum is what we recommend here because Columbus salts its roads and steps from November to March, and an aluminum rail does not rust at the base plate the way steel does.
