Built to the truck, not bolted on
A catalog bumper fits the truck it was drawn for and nothing else. A fabricated one fits your truck, your hitch, your winch and your lights, and it is plate and tube rather than stamped sheet, so a deer or a loading dock is a repair and not a replacement. We build them in steel or aluminum, weld them here, and fit them to the truck in the shop.

Pro-Line Industrial Services builds custom bumper packages for pickups and work trucks in Piketon, Ohio. Front and rear, steel or aluminum, with the receiver, the winch mount, the light cutouts and the steps built in, and fitted to your truck before it leaves.
A work truck bumper takes hits the factory bumper was never drawn for. A trailer ball backed into a dock, a deer on Route 23 at night, a winch pulling a stuck skid steer. The stamped sheet bumper folds and the truck is off the road. A plate and tube bumper built here takes the hit, and if it is bent, it is straightened or re-welded rather than replaced.
Every bumper package starts with the truck in the lot. We measure the frame horns, the grille and the body line, and we ask what the truck does: tow, plow, winch, carry a rack. Then the bumper is drawn, cut from plate, formed, welded and finished, and fitted to the truck with the receiver centered and the lights wired in.
Front packages usually carry a winch mount, a receiver, a light bar cutout and a brush guard if the truck wants one. Rear packages carry a class-rated receiver, flip-up or fixed steps, backup light cutouts and a place for the license plate that does not get flattened the first time the truck backs into something.
Steel is the default for a bumper, because weight is what stops the bumper from deforming. Aluminum makes sense on a truck that is already at its weight limit or on a service body where a rear bumper doubles as a step and a work platform. We will tell you which one your truck should have.
Trucks come to us from Columbus, Cincinnati, Chillicothe and Portsmouth, and the shop is open 24 hours, seven days, so a fleet truck can drop off after a shift and pick up before the next one. For a quote, send photos of the front and the back of the truck, the make, model and year, and what you need the bumper to carry.
How a bumper package job runs
The same sequence for every truck, so you know what you are buying.
Frame horns, body line, grille and hitch height, off your truck in our lot.
Plate cut and formed to the drawing, with the receiver and the light cutouts placed first.
Built in the Piketon shop in steel or aluminum, ground and finished.
Bolted to the frame, receiver centered, lights wired, before the truck leaves.
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Make, model and year | The frame horns and the body line are different on every truck |
| Front, rear or both | A front package and a rear package are two different jobs |
| What it has to carry | Winch, receiver, plow mount, light bar, steps, brush guard |
| Steel or aluminum | Weight is what resists a hit. Aluminum where the truck is already heavy |
| Finish | Bare for your painter, primed, or finished here |
Questions about custom bumpers

Will a custom bumper fit my truck?
Yes, because it is built to your truck rather than to a model year. We measure the frame horns and the body line off the truck itself, so the bumper fits the truck it is going on and nothing else.
Can you put a winch mount in the front bumper?
Yes. Tell us the winch and we build the mount into the plate with the fairlead opening in the right place, and we tie the mount into the frame rather than the bumper skin.
Do you build rear bumpers with a receiver and steps?
Yes. A rear package usually carries a receiver, steps, backup light cutouts and a recessed plate mount. Tell us what you tow and what the truck carries.
Steel or aluminum for a bumper?
Steel, most of the time, because weight is what keeps a bumper from folding. Aluminum where the truck is already at its weight limit or where a service body bumper doubles as a step and a platform.
Do you work on cars?
No. Pickups, service trucks, fleet trucks and trailers. A passenger car bumper is not our trade.
Send us your truck
Tell us the make, model and year, front or rear, and what the bumper has to carry. Photographs of both ends of the truck save a trip.
Commercial, industrial and fleet work, plus awnings, handrails, gates and fences for anyone. We do not take farm work or home improvement jobs.
What to send about the truck
Everything you leave out becomes an assumption, and assumptions are what make an invoice differ from a quote. None of this has to be formal.
Straight on and from the corner, with the current bumper still on.
And whether it is a pickup, a service body or a chassis cab.
Winch, receiver class, plow mount, light bar, steps, brush guard.
Otherwise we will recommend one.
Bare, primed, or finished here.
A plow season, a job start, or a fixed day the truck has to be back.
